SO I have a JBL system with a 8" factory sub right now. I also have a 10" ********* behind the rear seat box sitting around. Would it make any difference to run a 10 sub ( maybe a Kicker??) in place of the factory 8" sub using the factory installed JBL amplifier?

if you have maxed out the 8” then the 10” may add something.

The JBL amplifier is the weak link in that whole system, so don’t expect any changes if you keep using it to power your sub. Actually, expect less volume than the factory sub

Also, mixing and matching subwoofers is not typically ideal. I would work on upgrading the aftermarket subwoofer and amp
