I just got my truck a few days ago and of course the dealership tried to add on extras they can charge for. They tried to tack on $750 for this catalytic converter shield. I told them as soon as I got it home I'm going to start ripping the suspension apart anyway and I'll probably just throw that thing away, so you can take it off.

They ended up leaving it on the truck and taking all the "dealership" extras off the price of the truck.

My question is, does anyone use these things or know much about them? To me it just seems like it would trap ALOT of heat, around the transmission?

I put stickers on my MillerCat cover to see how hot it gets. After a year they still look new. I figure if it got that hot they'd burn off. It seems to stay cool.

    none yet
    don't know that brand
I though Toyota did a deal with Miller or Talon
I've heard of dealer lots getting hit so they are probably doing it to all the trucks as they come in (maybe port)
I'd leave it until you go full skid plate with cat wing guards

I have the MillerCat stainless. Looks great, and must be effective because I still have cats.
