    Are rear alignments a thing? I think you should be fine, I didn't have any issues after messing with my suspension and leaf packs

    Tacomas are solid axle rear ends so you can’t do alignments. You should be okay!

    Not a bad question, really. As the other dude said you could potentially throw off your thrust angle, but I wouldn't worry about it.

    Technically you can align a solid axle, it just involves using a torch, and it's hard to set back.

    @borg1736 fyi

    @Jibbs, Others... any suggestions on good practice when tightening all back down?

    From the perspective of replacing both leaf packs & having the axle completely off...

    Wheels on?
    Weight the leaf packs?
    Axel on jackstands? (Rear of truck is on jackstands at the frame in front of the front leaf pack mounts)

    There was a little play in the block btwn axle & leaf pack, I pushed both towards the front. There was no “perfect” seat for the axle in the shock mount/bottom plate. Maybe I should check measurements to the outside of each to “center”?
