Different AAL but I left the overload leaf out on my wheelers AAL (I think it was wheelers) and gained about 1.5”. I think they said it would be 2” with the overload left in.

If it's their progressive 3-leaf AAL kit I put the same one in mine and took out the factory overload, ended up with about 1.5" as they advertise. It's meant to be installed that way I'm pretty sure but if you leave in the factory overload you'd have probably 2" so about the same as the Wheelers kit gkomo mentioned.

I have a 1/2” block in the rear and my truck sits 1/2” high in the rear currently with just my soft topper ,shovel, traction boards and air compressor in the bed. But, when I load with gear it sits lower. Just ordered the Icon AAL. I would like to sit closer to an 1” high in the rear. Should I remove the block and overload spring and just run the AAL?

The overload actually adds a slight lift due to its positioning.

My last AAL on my truck I was too cheap to buy new longer u bolts, so I ditched it.

Overloads rarely are needed until these springs are inverted. The AAL will help prevent that.

Are you doing AAL to old springs? I'd recommend against it.

I’m adding the icon add a leaf to the stock Trd off-road springs. Truck has 12k miles on it and the most it ever tows is a small little Jon boat. Springs are fine I just want to get rid of the rear block and add a little height for when I’m loaded down for camping

Update. I got the AAL today and got it installed. I opted to keep the factory overload leaf and remove the rear block. I went from 1/2” rear high on flat ground to 1” high on flat ground. So far the truck is drive like a dream. I feel that it tightened up the rear end just enough to keep it composed over bumps with out causing it to jump all over the place.

If you do choose to keep the overload leaf be aware that there will be another retainer piece you will need to cut off the front of the overload leaf. I used a mixture of an angle grinder to get most of it then cleaned it up with some thick metal Diablo blades in my sawzall. Pretty surprised the sawzall worked so well! Let me know if you have questions.
