Posted this in general but someone suggested moving this here

Bought a go fast camper and just got quoted 1450.00 to install an add a leaf? It sounded insane to me...

Anyone know what this should cost around sf Bay Area or other california metro?

also thinking of going ome full leaf pack vs add a leaf I'm assuming shop time would be about the same.

Was also thinking maybe just airbags.. no hard core off roading .. just washboard dirt roads.

anyshop recommendations welcome.. north bay or east bay:)

You could do an add a leaf yourself. Not hard at all

I live somewhat rural and have an unpaved driveway, no good level spot.. not the best set up unfortunately. I do have the tools and the knowledge but yeah. there's a local shop to me that id likely have do it.

    1400 sounds high yes?

Icon 1.5" AAL ~$214+Tax & $350-$400 max for shop install (remember to have them remove your overloads if you only want 1.5"). Based on my humble experience in the Bay Area & SoCal.

I got my lift kit installed from a shop in Santa Rosa called Upgrade and they did it for $500. That was shocks + coil assembly then installed on the truck as well as my 1.5 AAL. They usually cost less than local shops so maybe give them a call.

    Do the install yourself.
Also I’d suggest the full leaf pack if you can afford it. The AAL still relies on your oem leads and it’ll eventually sag. Especially if you add weight like a gfc and other gear.

For reference I'd do it for ya for a case of beer. $1400 is downright insane. I don't even charge that much for full suspension installs front/rear.
