I'm looking to get a add a leaf for more capacity and so I don't look like I'm doin a wheelie down the road with my 6x10 box trailer
I have a regular cab and I've looked up and found some mixed results. Would the 3 pack progressive kits benefit me more then a single leaf? I'm looking to lift the front around 2 inches as well. Thanks

The 3 leaf progressive AALs will ride better when you're unloaded, which is the main difference between them and a single AAL. I have the Wheeler's 3 leaf and very happy with it, left my OEM overload spring in when I installed it and got 2" of rear lift. I recommend.

Yes it will also last longer than a single AAL

That's what I was leaning towards but I've heard they can't handle weight as well for some reason. But most of the time the truck is unloaded.

Not true in my case. I don't haul super heavy, otherwise I'd have air bags. But I can out 700 lbs in the bed and drive all day without problems. I have a pic with a load this size, or 750 lbs that I'll post for you to see.

Was nowhere near the bump stops with this load, either.

3 leaf AAL deal with heavier weight better than single. If you haul a lot get airbags

    So adding
Didn't need the picture again, but, how much did the setup "raise" your truck? I'm looking for a little stability but with occasional loads and towing without the need to use a ladder to get in the cab. :)

Or, would it just be better to get the Bilstein 5100's all around?

I know there are a bunch of answers but I don't plan on any airbag system.

I have 5100s all around with front set at 1.75 and the 3 leaf in the rear. I get in just fine, but I'm 6'7". I'm still on 265s so it isn't a big increase in height. 285s would add more height, so keep that in mind.

My fiancé is 5'6" or so and pregnant and she's able to get in the cab just fine, though she does occasionally complain.

My mom is 5'3" and gets in fine as well, actually.

I like the height of the tailgate but it might be a little tall for others. If you want I can take a measurement for you?

Sure, take a measurement. I'm 6'2" and don't have issues. I just don't want to "lift" the truck, but get a better ride and better hauling springs. The stock ride is fine, just when I tow my car and haul things it squats and bounces too much. If I'm only going to raise an inch, no big deal. Thanks

FWIW, I got 2" with the OEM overload spring retained in the leaf pack, without it, it drops down to 1.5" of lift which maybe appeals more to you, it rides softer as well without the overload spring - at the cost of a slight reduction in hauling stiffness. I'll grab a measurement now. Standby.

33" from road surface to top of my tailgate (when the tailgate is down).

Thanks. Measured mine at 32" stock. So, with the leaf pack AND overload, is the 33" what you got, or is that without the overload? If it's with the overload, it's perfect for me. One inch is not that big a deal. Thanks again.

I got 2" of lift. But yes, I'm at 33".

It is a 2" lift AAL. You would end up around 34" with it installed.

Great! To verify, 3 leaf AAL with stock Overload and 5100's all around (front to 1.75 or whatever I like) and the ride height may only go an inch or two at the most while keeping the truck "fairly level"? If so, that's what I'd like to achieve. Plus the ride quality will be enhanced (on my TRD 4x4). Thanks for the info. :)
