    I'm running a 99 v6 4x4 (3.4L)
I want to put a 1100 lb. cab-over camper in the bed and use it for weekend motorcycle trips. (towing a very small trailer)

any suggestions for how to beef up the suspension so it can handle the occasional heavy-duty load?

(i fired up - this is my first v6 taco)!

The bed is rated at 1500 pounds..

If you want a camper like this, go with Air bags and extract supports for mounting points..

Talk with the dealer again and make sure you are right about the numbers.
maybe 1100 was wet or loaded weight. it is was Dry or unloaded weight, you may have issues.

When i run 1200 pounds in back the truck like like shit.
I got helper spring kit for $40. it helps allot, but I never drive over 25 mph with 1200 pounds.
