I have a 2020 SR with non-JBL system. I have this harness which plugs into the back of the head unit.

I understand that the 2 RCA jacks are for cables from the harness above to the to the amp powered sub shown below.

If I understand correctly, the red wire from the harness connects to the REM port on the amp/sub.

There is also a port for a +12V and a port for ground on the back of the amp/sub.

My question: If I connect the red wire from the harness to the REM port on the amp, do I still need to run a wire to the +12V and ground ports?

Yes, heavy gauge power postive from your battery and negative lead (less than 18" from amp) need to be ran to the amp to provide power. That red wire simply provides remote amp turn on power (12v+) when your radio start to play music where that LOC is tapped into (harness).

Perfect. That's what I thought. I needed a sanity check.
    Thank you.

Got it all wired up and everything back together.

My expectations were very low as I was not looking for something with a great deal of punch, just some added base to my music. It has completely over delivered on my expectations and I'm very pleased with it.
