I want my speakers to be louder. I ordered new speakers for my doors that can handle up to 100w. I now need to figure out how to install an amp that uses the stock speaker wire coming out of the jbl amp. I have an aftermarket head unit that I am going to use the rca cables from. Is there any wiring diagram for the stock JBL amp that I could use to send the amplified audio to the stock door speakers?

What amplifier do you recommend. I read somewhere that the factory wires can’t take more than 80w per channel.

Well 80w each for most aftermarket speakers is a TON of volume. More than most will ever be able to tolerate

Okay, so 80W is the standard then? Well enough to avoid damaging your eardrums I guess.

My amp can put out 50w RMS and I never turn it past 60% volume without it starting to give me a headache.

Yeah I thought about doing some upgrades before I left BestBuy, but just couldn’t justify the money. And now I feel like I only ever listen to podcasts, so my feelings aren’t hurt lol.
