I've found an ADD front diff for my 4wd conversion, will this work just like that non add diff?

As in, install front diff into truck, leave all lines and connectors unhooked and it will be ok?

Or do I have to have the non add diff

hmmmmm. i would think it engages the front driveshaft internally. you'd probably have to set the actuator to a permanently engaged position to use it. unless you wire it up to the inside of your cab and control the front driveshaft engagement that way. push button 4x4 instead of manual maybe?

I would do a full push button swap, but I heard it's a huge pain and I haven't found a full parts list of what all is actually needed to do that swap

honestly if you have the diff on there with a good actuator, just make a custom wiring setup with a button in the cab somewhere. theres not very many wires on it, and im sure only 2 (maybe 3) of them will be needed. 1 for power 1 for ground and 1 possibly for signal telling the motor to engage.

My front diff has two breather lines. they are rubber in parts but they are not vacuum lines.

If it the same as an 89-95 you just shift the actuator fork to engage and use a hose clamp to hold it in.

Ok so, a switch would be easily doable.

Then. Route my vent line anywhere.

And add the ADD hubs to the truck instead of manual hubs?

i would think that you can leave the manual hubs on there and engaged all the time, since the front is a differential and not a locker, and the front axle would be disengaged with the switch turned off.

leave them on for looks? so long as the axle shaft fits in the wheel and the diff, i wouldn't change the hubs.

That thing is vacum engaged. You have to run these little vsv valves and electric to them.

ohhhhh. hmmmm. youve got me on this one. where can we even get hubs for our trucks? 95-2000 parts list shows part numbers w/auto disconnect number 43502-04040, and w/o auto disconnect 4350204030. both are for 4wd.
