You're going to put load that the window regulators aren't made for.

Taking some inspiration from Vivid02 and the strap handle I added a handle to my Gen3. I didn't like the straps around the outside although it did the job. I looked at the clearance between the door and the cab between the two seals (one on cab and one on the door and their is actually quite a bit - a little over 1/4". And the door gasket can be lifted up to get some more room for attachment. I used some clamps to hold the gasket out of the way to drill some small holes for sheet metal screws. I ripped the stitching out of one of my handles so I just had the piece through the handle. I trimmed the loosed threads on the ends and held the end close to a flame - in the flame is way too much - just enough to barely melt the end slightly. I then took some aluminum flashing and made 2 pieces that were bend back on themselves to give a little smoother, larger edge although it was still pretty thin. Drilled them with small holes and used them as a guide to make holes spaced the same in the top of the door. Figured the plate would make it much less likely for the screws to pull out ripping the webbing. They stick out a little under the gasket but I am pretty happy with it. And if I take it off the gasket will cover the holes. The screws are 1/2" long and didn't seem to hit the top gasket but it was very close. Think I will trim the ends off to ensure the window doesn't hit them when closed. 3/8 screws would have been better.
