ADD W1 VER1 Oil Catch Can Group Buy "FEELER FAIL"-Please delete!!

I was stunned with how much I collected. I have the dipstick version in ricer blue.

 

Yea so it looks like these can be had at or cheaper than the GB price these ebay sellers are trying to give us a "deal" on. As i said before, keep an eye out on ebay and you'll see them pop up cheaply from time to time

 

This is the one I bought also. Very nice can...like the fact there's multiple tier inside to actually help separate the oil/crud from the engines ventings/vapors. I just installed a supercharger, so I was just inside my engine. My intake was completely covered with a black oily crud. I have one of these cans on my Turbo Diesel, but didn't have one on my 4Runner. Was lead to believe N/A engine didn't need them...only supercharged or turbo's needed them. Well I'm here to tell ya that's Bull Crap!! If you what a clean running engine, you should be running one of these!


Just remember this...the EPA doesn't care or gives a rats butt how long your engine last or how much it cost you in maintenance bills (Seafoam/valve jobs/intake removel cleaning) or how much fuel mileage you lose!! It's up to you to protect and keep your engine healthy so it will last and run as efficiently as possible. I can assure you, Using one of these catch cans will help!

The el cheapo eBay can will help some, but you might as well use a Coke can. I don't care what you pay for it...but should look for a catch can that has different chambers inside...thus allowing the oil/fumes/air to separate from one another. Leaving the oil/crude in the can and sending clean air back into your engine or vent it to the atmosphere.

 

If there really is no rime or reason to a brand or style, then maybe I'll do a bit more and see what else I can find. Just went with this brand because of the thread. I did read somewhere the breather style can cause a vacuum leak, but can't seem to remember if that was for s/c or not.

I'd also refrain from using one with the side plastic tube. In my experience, any plastic tubing that is subjected to hot and cold elements at engine temperatures, will become fragile and crack or break.

Why start? The price isn't group buyable...Just go on ebay and find the same thing for the same price. There's no way we get 50+ for this, and at that point its $5 off. We need to find a different vendor that's willing to drop the price a bit

 

I've only been able to find two other vendors that look legit. One was 10% off, which was about the same, and the other didn't respond. I figured if there's 15 people willing to pay the $80 for the can, then I'd put it together for them.

If you know of an as good or better can, with a better price....let us know. We're open to suggestions!! The way I was looking at it...I want to buy a good can, if I can save $5 with a GB...$5 more I can put in my savings. I'd don't know...it is frustrating!!

i looked up this can and it seems pretty legit. Probably be the one i end up getting. Mostly because its baffled, if you read up on the ADD W1, some guys were having to put steel wool or the like inside to try to act as a baffle in some cases

 

Better or cheaper?

I have this catch can and really like it...this on my diesel pickup. @VolcomTacoma if you're wanting to check up on this one...I'm game for it. It works quit well and everything comes with it. Let us know Sir.
