This is for people who actually use their trucks. After replacing the Dunlop tires with Michelin LTX M/S2, shocks upgraded to Bilsteins and rear springs increased to 5 leafs, I was finally able to add a Addco rear anti-sway bar. This was a tremendous improvement in handling. Only the tires gave such a bang for the buck return.

Ice and snow prevented me from getting a true impression until today. I cannot begin to express how much better this makes this truck now. The whole truck feels more solid at all times, even while driving straight and flat. Down hill curves now make me smile without a brown skid mark in my drawers. Understeer is greatly diminished.

Quartering winds no longer rock the truck, either from nature or passing semis.

If you have wondered if you would feel the difference, I can assure you that the addition of a rear anti-sway bar is money well spent. (Approximately $200 for a ADDCO brand)

donny, I think you will be very happy with a rear anti-sway bar. I chose Addco for lower cost, ease of installation and larger diameter bar than the competion.

You drill two holes to mount the end links to the frame. Addco's directions are pretty good. Lower your spare tire first, to get it out of the way.

donny, only you can make the final choice about suspension and springs on your pre-runner. Mine is a very different truck. I chose Bilstein shocks and adding more rear leaves to the springs. I have 5 rear springs. I even considered swapping V6 Double Cab front coil springs in-place of my stock coils. Bilstein makes non-adjustable heavy duty shocks that you might look into. I was tired of wallowing down the road like a drunken hog. Toyota should be ashamed of how poor the suspension is.

Here's considering the Addco Rear Anti-sway bar for my "mildly lifted" 1999 PreRunner with Michelin Defender 255/70R16 tires and OME 880s, BIL 5100s +AAL.

I have been running an Addco model 655 "7/8 on another car for 5 years. It really makes it so much more fun to drive on winding roads and works well with that car's modified Scott-Russell link rear suspension.
