Started installation on my Meso Puddle Pods, upgraded front door speakers, and some sound-deadening material - all of which have been sitting in a “to do” pile for several months now. Only got the driver’s door done today but haven’t actually hooked up the wiring into the door pillar area yet. Had the hardest time figuring out on how to snake the Puddle Pod wire thru the boot between the door and cab area. Not for those without tiny hands as that is a very small tight area. Finally was able to run a long plastic wire tie thru the boot with a string attached, then tie the string to the wire and wiggle it thru the boot. If anyone has a better method before I tackle the passenger door, please let me know.

Also curious about the small harness that attaches directly to the LED fixture in the mirror and into the upper door panel area. Instead of being a single ten inch connector as cited in the instructions, it was a “Y” type harness. Anyone know what the second unused part would be for?

Speakers were 6x9 JBL’s from Crutchfield and came with the harness adapter and new mounting frame but no real instructions, so I had to fudge my way thru that. The speaker holes didn’t quite match the holes on the mounting frame, so I had a little struggle with that issue. Otherwise, it was completed and sounded good.

Also had completed my door handle bowl lighting two days before, so that will be all for now until I finish the passenger door items.

Finished my Puddle Pod with the Auto/On switch accessory installation today. Got everything working and looks great, but, I have a question to those who have tackled this before.

I had the most difficult time fitting the main jumper harness inside the door pillar area. There simply was not enough area to either stretch or twist everything around to fit. I finally had to cut in half a white factory clip holding two separate plugs and break one part of the clip off of the main plug in order to fold everything inside the pillar area. Even then, all was extremely tight.

How did some of you others manage to fit everything together?
