I know others have done this before, but for $22 from my local dealer I was able to buy a 2nd set of D-rings for the front of the bed. Why Toyota doesn't supply the vehicle with them is beyond me. Installation is 20 mins, max. On the front of the bed there are three drain holes. Open the two in the corners up. Install the bolts and mounting plates. In my opinion, mounting them to the bed mount bolts is too much trouble and way overkill. Just mount them using the plates provided. If the dealer installs them the are warranted so... Toyota must have done some destrustive testing on these beds. Right? I assume they'll hold the 300lbs they rated for. Snakeing your hand around the fuel tank was annoying but doable. 20 mins. Done. $22. Cheap. I'm going to put small o-rings around the heads of all four though the rings themselves do move a bit and I can hear them clunking around when I hit the brakes. The o-ring will keep them in place. I think everyone should put them on. Enjoy the holidays everyone. :)

I added the front ones using the bed bolts many months ago, my BF had that weird bit that is needed to remove the bolts, so it was a simple 5 min job. I use them to secure my quad, works great. Toyota needs to put those in themselves, the rear ones only is dumb.
