    Nice work. I purchased the kit for my Gen II which of course has no lock at all. Funny, right when I saw the tailgate at the dealer the first question I asked was if it locked with the remote. When someone packages the kit and documents everything you did, I'll step-up.

    If you have a tonno cover it is so annoying they didn't add this.... if I just had an open box I probably wouldn't have thought of it

    Awesome! I had the pop lock on my f150 and I have it on my f350 and it's peace of mind knowing my tailgate will be there when I get back since they are over 2gs a piece! I'm doing this on the Taco!!!

    Great mod. I hadn't even considered this but my tint guy brought up how important it is to lock the tailgate, not just to protect the contents of your bed, but the tailgate itself.

    The tailgates sell for decent money and are ridiculously easy to remove.

    did you put a disconnect near the tailgate for removal?
