Awesome work...only reason i am leaving a comment is so I don't lose this thread!

Scale of 1-10, how difficult was this to do? I am guessing running the wires took the longest?

    Installed everything this weekend.

I'm worried about one thing. The actuator/motor has a travel greater than needed so it pushes rather strongly on one end or the other. I'm worried that in the long run, it may break the little plastic arm (winter comes to mind) and also since I have a tonneau cover, if it ever breaks, even the key will not work because that piece of plastic links the key cylinder to the handle.

Have you seen this? Trying to find a way to limit the travel of the actuator.

I was wondering if the travel was the same as the throw. Keep us posted if you figure something out! I will see if I can come up with my own solution when I get around to this mod.

    The travel/throw is not adjustable.

I measured the actuator travels 0.75 inch and what we need is closer to 0.5 inch.

I can think of only 2 solutions. Install at an angle to lose some travel (not sure if possible/practical)
Or fabricate something so the rod has about 1/4 inch slop in it.

You could always make a slot instead of a hole in the plastic piece and bend the rod sideways so it never pops out, but i'm worried that would weaken the plastic too much.

I looked at the pop-n-lock module, and they deal with the excessive travel too, they just have their bracket travel too far but since it's never mated to the lock, it's not a problem. The more I look at their approach, the more I like it.
