I started doing it because of my first job i had, i worked around stereotypical rednecks, but i might as well be one too. That's where i picked up the habit, im not a chronic dipper but i do do it while driving or at work.

try niccorette gum. idk too many people that use dip tho...but for a couple people that quit smoking that stuff helps a bit.

When I was dipping heavily I was doing the cheap tins like 1.40 cheap. So in order to quit I started getting better/more expensive tins. Then eventually I moved onto the new Camel snus stuff, it is great and the girls don't hate it cause you don't have to spit and your breath smells better.

I dont really like camel snus... I still have to spit.. maybe Im doing it wrong.. lol

I'm 19 been doing it since I was like 14.. and really have no desire to quit as of now..
My dad tried using the patch and gum to quit smoking and he said it just made him want more.. So I figure cold turkey, or an empty wallet is the way to go.. Good luck!

I've been dipping since I was 12 years old.....I'm now 45. My gums and teeth are completely healthy. I consider myself lucky, whose to say it won't actually kill me some day. Nicotine is 10 times more addictive than heroin. Your best defense is to never get hooked on it like I did. My wife, a smoker who just turned 41, had a mild heart attack a couple of weeks ago. She had two 80% blockages in her heart which required stents. She hasn't smoked a cigarette since and said she never will, she quit cold turkey. It's very hard to quit a bad habit that you enjoy.
