I want to add a sled deck with two snowmobiles to my 2014 double cab 4x4 longbed. I over estimate the snowmobiles and sled deck to be about 1,400lbs with fuel and everything. Is this possible? I kinda figured I'd need airbags since the payload is 1215. Curb weight is 4285. GVWR is 5500. GCWR is 11,100.
With gear and passengers, I'd be around 1,800lbs.

You'll be better off and safer with a trailer.

Yeah, I'll probably stick with a trailer. Storing and parking is more of a pain, but not too bad. I have a ramp for solo trips and a trailer for group trips and have never had any problems. I guess if it ain't broke, don't fix it. There may be a rare occasion when I'll need to put chains on the trailer, but I can live with that.

There is a reason you dont see decks with 2 sleds on a 1/2 ton let alone a Tacoma. Way to much weight....
