When adding a 1/4" spacer on a 6112 for 09 DCSB is there anything that needs to between the tophat and spacer or the spacer and the bracket mount?

Nope. Just drop the shock down and put the spacer between the top hat of the shock and the body of the truck. Reinstall the nuts that secure the top hat to the truck and you're done.
