Has anyone had a cruise control added to their taco. I have the 2010 Access cab TT and it didn't come with CC and I would like one added. Are they worth doing and after market ad on? Let me know what you think Thanks.

My Tacoma came with CC, but I had a Suzuki with add-on cruise control. Worked well, just made a loud noise when it disengaged. I would go for it.

It's plug and play if your are prewired. If not theirs wiring involved

Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
All you need is the switch and the harness for the steering wheel. Can be had cheap. The cruise control just plugs in and works then. Oh and the trim piece for the wheel

Manual trucks are a different story

I added cruise control to my 06 Tacoma, super easy. It was actually prewired for cruise. You need the cruise control arm, the plastic cover for it on the steering column and a solenoid switch, that goes on the top of the clutch pedal. There was a white wire taped up above my clutch and you just plug that into the installed solenoid switch, super easy. That part was under a hundred at the dealership. The cruise control arm was a 20 dollar junkyard part as was the cover. Literally plug and play. I understand they stopped pre wiring the trucks for cruise, but a search online shows how easy it is to wire it up. Well worth it in mo opinion.

If you have a 6 cyl. its prewired. As stated you need a arm,a cover ,and a simple harness mod. I also added delay wipers and to my base model as well. Pretty simple stuff really. The plugs are sitting right there for these options.

Our area is not well populated so the junk yards rarely have Tacoma's. I paid an arm and a leg for my Switch but it works perfectly so not to bad that It cost more. I have been waiting for the CC arm and it's been thirty-five days or so and I sent a message to the Manufacturer in China and they say it may have been lost in shipping, so they accredited My Amazon Store Card back the money. The said if it does show enjoy it do not send it back. So at least they try and make help from their end. I will see if it shows and post. Thanks for listening my rant is over and I do feel better. Bye

So your still in need of a switch? If so the cruise control switch from almost any Toyota 05 and up will work

Hi all I had to order another one, the first one after 38 days didn't show up. The next one I made sure It was being shipped from the USA. It got here a day earlier than they said it would. Took about 20 mins to install. I had to pull the wire out of the connector from the Air Bag and put it in the connector for the new Control Arm. Put the negative cable back on battery and pushed the on button on the control arm and the green light cruise came on and tested it from my house to town, and then next day 40 mile trip and it works great.
