Adding an LSD for Snow Traction.

The extra weight and longer wheel base of your PW may have been a factor.

 

Possibly yes but I loaded the Taco with patio stones probably 500lbs in the bed

both wheels spinning is rare with a Truetrac and its designed to slow wheel spin. i never experienced what you describe above. i was not even able to get the truck to fish tail or drift in any significant way in a gravel parking lot when i mashed the gas pedal with the Truetrac.

"The Detroit Truetrac from EATON is a helical-gear style differential. It operates as an open differential under normal driving conditions, so that one wheel can spin faster or slower as necessary. When one of the wheels encounters a lack of traction, or the terrain surface changes causing one tire to have more or less traction that the other, the gear separation forces transfer torque to the wheel with the most traction. Another upvote for the True Trac, I had them in my TrailBlazer and Mustang when I lived in Ohio. I never had issues spinning tires (unintentionally) in the snow.

 

Maybe a Detroit locker it sounds like? I'm sure you're correct on what you had just double checking. I've seen owners mistake the two names

 

If a driver adds a Truetrac and has trouble controlling oversteer in snow they suck at driving and shouldn't be out in those conditions.

If the VSC and Traction control are left on (2011-2015) the truck becomes idiot proof for the most part and is very hard to get yourself in trouble with oversteer. Only the master idiots can f*ck that up.
