Adding Bluetooth to factory stereo, with blulogic

I have a plan to add Bluetooth to my factory stereo, while still maintaining the blulogic system for my hands free. I just can’t listen to my music through the blulogic, it sounds terrible, and I like the idea of keeping the factory look.

I purchased the JL audio Bluetooth marine receiver MBT-RX, which I was planning to just plug into the factory aux input in the back, but I am now realizing that it is a factory harness and not the rca inputs I need.

What I would like to do is splice an rca input into the factory auxilary harness. I’m sure this is possible, just seeing if anyone has any advice or ideas on how to make this work with minimal fuss,

My one thought is to just get a stereo to rca jack, push the aux input behind the dash tape it all up together and just roll with it, but if I can splice the rca direct into the aux then I’d be much happier.

Any thoughts/advice is appreciated.

 

I can't say I'm super familiar with the blulogic system, but have you considered a Bluetooth FM transmitter? They can be picked up on Amazon for $10-15, most smartphones are capable of understanding that some Bluetooth accessories are for calls versus music. The one I have just goes in the cigarette lighter, my phone connects to both the truck and the FM transmitter. When I'm playing music and a call comes through, it pauses the music and switches to the truck's Bluetooth for the call.

It's currently unavailable, but I'm sure you could find something comparable.

 

Thank you, yea, I’ve had those in the past, I currently have one that plugs into my aux input, it works fine, just want a more streamlined solution, the blulogic works decent and also already has a button and mic hardwired into the truck.

 

You need to look up the pinout for your radio. Pull the radio, find the 3 or 4 cables you need to tap into, wire them into 2 cables like this one (one for left and one for right):
