    If I added a locking diff in my 2015 Sport would i get an entirely new differential or just add a locker somehow..? Anyone done this b4?

    You could just add an air locker to your stock 3rd member. If you wanted to add the e locker you would have to replace the whole 3rd member

    You could do it a few ways, anyone who has done it can chime in.

    I think you can get a whole new rear end (entire axle assembly) from certain Tacoma models that already has a locker in it. That can be cheap (if you can find one in a junkyard) and easy because you can bolt it in (I did this on a Jeep once, it wasn’t too difficult).

    You can also get an aftermarket locker, there are several options, but someone will have to install that for you unless you can work on gears.

    Many have done it. East Coast Gear Supply can get you all set up (they offer a TW discount too). As stated, you can keep your existing diff or swap it out.
