I have been running Helwigs for almost 10 years with no issues....they are great. Fully adjustable, you just tighten the u-bolts to engage when you need them too. I have mine tuned to only be engaged with a load or hit a heavy bump, (like crossing some bad railroad tracks). I know sumos are very popular now, but I think Helwigs are a better options since Tacomas are infamous for having weak leaf springs that bend back over time. These will prevent that and sumos wont.

Easily carried over 1,000lbs in building materials many times over the years with no sag. Factory ride when not loaded. About $150 easy install in 1.5 hours.

air suspension and helper springs just help with sagging, they don't add capacity. You would be better off getting a bigger truck.

I found this to be true. Before I decided to just work on what I have, I shopped around. I was set on getting an F150...the stealerships ruined it! Either they are completely delusional or have developed a serious crack habit...either way I'm not paying $70k for a damn F150!!! So, I'll fix up my little engine that could:)

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
It might be a 1 1/2 hour install in Texas .

For sure not here with needing to cut off the u- bolts.

maybe the bottom shock bolt as well.
