i have a 02 tacoma auto with every option except cruise and power windows. i have done some research on the web trying to find if this swap can be done. all i could find is one detailed write up with a newer tacoma. it seems that toyota puts the cruise control system in it minus the switch (on the auto trucks). can this be done the same way with my year model or do i have to add everything else to make it work?

here is the link to the write up. http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/showthread.php?t=171992

No ... That doesn't apply to the pre-2005 Tacomas.

By the time you track down and acquire all the OEM components for 2001 - 2004 cruise control, it will cost as much as simply installing an aftermarket kit.
