I recently purchased a 2017 Tacoma SR 4x4 and I am really interested in adding cruise control. Has anyone done it and what are all the parts that I will need to get . I've seen some kits for it online but I would really like to here from someone firsthand about it . Is wiring the switch really all that you have to do and are all the other Cruze control components already in the vehicle ?

No actual experience with the newer trucks, but since you have 'drive-by-wire' (computer already controls the throttle), I think that all you need is the interior switch, and maybe a new brake switch.

I added CC to my old '99, and needed the actuator, throttle cable, CC computer, brake switch in addition to the interior switch.

Lol, so did I until I drove the truck home from the dealership and reached for the cruise control . Touchscreen radio yes, cruise control apparently not .
