I'm looking to install an oem trail edition grill on my 2023 trd or with factory front facing camera. I've been doing a bit of research here and all the threads Im finding only describe swapping an oem pro grill with an existing camera slot and bracket. It doesn't seem like anyone has fitted the oem camera into the trail edition grill yet.

Wondering if anyone out there has made this swap and what you had to do to make it work.

Photo of truck attached for something to look at.

I likely can’t answer your question, but I don’t think it’s clear what you are asking. Are you referring to the camera that is part of the panoramic view monitor, the Toyota safety sense, or something else?

Screenshot_20230131-151318.jpg I got a Germes plug and play front camera control system with a Natika camera. It was easy to install and I mounted the camera dead center of the TSS on my Pro grill at the top. Looks OEM, awesome clarity and you use the steering wheel controls. The front cam comes on in drive just like the reverse cam does. Plus you can drive down the road and use the cams and toggle front to rear with the up/down to switch cams with the steering wheel controls.

Factory front facing camera- which is part of the 360 camera setup.

Are you trying to install just the one camera from the system?

I’m trying to move the factory installed front camera on my off road grill over to an oem trail edition grill that I just purchased.

The truck is a 2023 offroad with advanced tech package, so all the cameras already exist. Just trying to move the front camera from one grill to the other. Trail edition grills don’t have an oem camera spot on them- trying to find a workaround for that.

I think you need to buy the OEM camera bracket. I've seen someone do it for a TRD pro grill. I didn't think the Trail grill was any different besides color of the toyota logo.

The issue is that bracket - part number PT595-35210 is for a pro grill with the camera cutout in the grill

An alternative would have been to buy the PRO grill, and bronze lettering (aftermarket).

Curious—have you seen any sellers that have the bronze lettering? Tacovinyl has quicksand and that's the closest I've come across. I'm trying to do the same thing as OP but haven't purchased anything yet.

    Thanks!

Tacovinyl lists bronze letters on their site, but doesn’t have a product shot of it in their carousel of color ways.

I see a color listed as Bronze Mica but I don't think that's the same. I've actually emailed them about it (twice) and haven't received a response. Might just try plasti-dip [shrug]

No sorry, I haven't looked bc I'm not in the market for one. I've only seen color matched letters for OE colors
