I was wondering if anybody with a 3rd gen SR has added fender flares to their truck (as they come without them). Preferably interested in stock Toyota flares not bushwackers and wondering about the process to add them on.. I know there are like 10 or more clips so I assume drilling is required but I was curious if anyone has done this yet to their SR? If you have any pics feel free to show them! Thanks!

You're exactly right, you would have to make holes in fenders and they're big bucks too. Before I traded my 2016 SR-5 4cyl for my TRDOR I ordered a set and sent them back. Looked like it was going to be a pain in the ass to do and I was nervous about punching holes in the fenders. The flares come with no diagrams, templates etc and you have to order all the hardware separately, at least from TRD shop.com.

Thanks for the input. Yeah I know they're pricey too, just wasn't sure if it was as hard as it seemed to be. That just sounds like a huge headache. I never seen any SR models with them or added so it's kind of a gray area for us SR owners.. lol

    Whole bunch of shit! $$$
The Lund flares will be my next mod this coming fall.
OP, if you get them on there, please post pics and a write up too, that would be great. The price on the OEM Toyota flares is just ignorant, and I am not willing or warranted in punching holes in my new truck. Not yet anyhow.

It would be nice if they felt like taking a picture of what the flares actually look like.

Seriously, they might be great quality, but if they can't be assed to even take a picture for the website or elaborate drill or no drill, it gives the impression that they're drop-shipping some wonky cut-rate crap from China.

Maybe. Unfortunately, the only non-oem, non-exposed bolt option I've seen.

Did you have silver flares originally? The black flares look great. I might do this on my Inferno SR5.

Those Lund flares look awful to me. Much rather have it flare-less

I think the Lunds might look better paint matched but that's such a chocolate / vanilla thing.

    Drill or no drill?

No. I really wanted the oem ones. The price for these were reasonable so I tried them out.
