So the plan is to add wheel well lights and door handle lights to my 03 double cab. I want them to flash when i hit the lock and unlock button. but not come on when the lights are on and when the dome light is on. How can i go about doing this?

I can only guess because the alarm goes to your running lights. whole lot of engineering for that one. maybe if you tapped in to the alarm chirp with a relay is the only way I can conceive it.

This is just a thought off the top of my head..i really don't know if it'll work..

Are you using the Piezo Beeper? (the high pitched "beep beep" when you lock/unlock the door). Its located to the right of the battery along the fender line. See if its receiving constant power, or if its just when you hit the button. You maybe be able to splices your lights to those wires, and they'll flash when the Piezo beeps.

    hope it helps..
