I'm going to install my 3" OME lift as soon as the weather cooperates. I had the struts pre-assembled with the 886 springs since I have a double cab and plate bumper with a winch to follow shortly. I ordered the small spacers as a precaution in case i drop below 3" when the winch is installed. My question is, if i install the struts without the spacers initially, Do I have to completely remove the struts if I end up wanting to put the spacers in later, or can i just unolt the top and drop em down far enough to slide the spacers in? I'm trying to figure out which way to go on the initial install to avoid too much work in the future. So, Install with the spacers now or without?

Why fuck up a good lift with ANY kind of spacers ? & why do the work twice ?? If you already know your getting a plate bumper w/winch why not just get the upgraded /heavier spring or the right coilover (if money allows) from the start ?....:notsure:

I already have the 886 OME springs to compensate for the increased weight. I already have the bumper installed and the winch should go within 6 months. I know it isn't a science, i'm just trying to see from anyone who has experience with this combination or one similar. Will the 886 springs without the 1/4" spacers still give me 3" of lift given the amount of weight on the front end?

A lift, some wheels, some tires, some performance, some cosmetic and then audio.
First off is your preassembled setup already has the longer studs already installed? If not then you might have to remove the whole setup and if did you should be able to unbolt the top 3 nuts and drop it down and slip the spacer in.

Yes, the longer studs were installed already. That's what I was looking for, i was hoping, if it comes down to it, i can just unbolt and slide down far enough to slide the 1/4" spacer and bolt back up, without removing the whole thing.

Yea you should be able to just pop them right on top of the shock assembly
