Get the under the bed rail lights from gecko light or something in the marketplace section. I think his name on here is Matt Gecko or something. I could be totally off base with that.

I use them ALL THE TIME. Bought them cause I thought I’d get a good bit of use out of them and all, and I just didn’t realize how much I would use them. They’re awesome!

Also, I’m a very handy dude, but I know ZERO about electrical. If it’s got wires, it’s not for me and I normally don’t even try, just get a buddy to help. But his instructions made it easy peasy. Think I had it done in about 20ish mins or so.

I put in after market bed lights where OEM would go. Easy install.
Added led strip lights from Amzon to side and front of one side of bed. Attached with double sided tape that came installed and uses aa batteries and has a switch. Works great and I can use whatever combination of the 2 (OEM type/led) I want.

Mods? We don't need no stinking mods.
Ordered some off of Amazon (as well as an interior LED bulb kit) and they were so easy to install. Took 5 minutes per side. Love the light, especially since I have a hard, tri-fold tonneau cover.

Highly recommend the interior LED light bulb kit, too. Best $20 I've spent on my Tacoma.

If you have the dash switch, the bed lights should be very easy to install. Search YouTube. I had to also install the dash switch on my 2023 TRD OR AC. It wasn’t hard.
