I know this topic has been beat to death, but I'm having a heck of a time: I bought wireless backup camera kit for my '05 Tacoma. The image ticks on for a split second every second or so. Having a hell of a time diagnosing the cause. The power for the camera is drawn from splice in reverse light positive and negative. The mirror monitor is powered from the reverse trigger wire in the driver side kick panel and grounded to the frame with the grounding screw nearby. I tried an RCA cable to bypass the wirless, but the image was doing the same thing. A voltage stabilizer doesn't help from either end. Same exact image tick whether the engine is on or off.

Possibly a bad ground at the camera?

Thanks! I'll try grounding to somewhere else.

You should get the camera it's own separate fuse. Just use the reverse as a "trigger".

Turns out everything was good except for the power to the monitor. I switched that and all is well! Thanks for the input, all.
