    Hi Everyone,

This is my first tacoma and I could use some help. Long story short I recently purchased the vehicle and got lucky in the fact that I am getting the frame replaced due to the recall. I have two main questions.

    Truck's specs:
2010 Tacoma Access Cab TRD Offroad.
    144k miles
    6-Speed Manual.
    4.0 V6
    3' Bilstein lift and level.

    Current issues besides the frame.

    1. Makes a screeching sound when in gear and taking off. I am thinking it is the friction plate as the clutch is pretty much toast and needs replacement. It also could be an issue in the driveline as well which I know there was also a recall for.

    2. Slow leak on right bank cam cover.

    3. Brakes need to be done badly.

    1. What is included in the frame replacement along with the frame itself such as upper control arms, motor mounts, etc.

    2. What additional maintenance should be done during the replacement. I figured the motor driveline and everything has to come out so it would make it less expensive as I do not want to pay for labor twice. I am thinking this could be things such as the water pump, timing chain etc.

What common problems that you have had to address that I should absolutely tackle now.

Screech probably clutch/throwout bearing, take off screech could be a u joint, be cautious sometimes they freeze and have no play but are still junk. Slow leak is timing cover, motor will be coming out and placed on a tire on the floor, so if you want any components replaced on the motor now is the time. Timing cover with motor out will save you lots of money, with that said mines never dripped and only been damp for the last 85k miles. brakes ez pz, make sure they check for frozen calipers, inner pistons like to seize. If you search there is a thread that states all parts COVERED by the frame recall. Do not let your dealer fuck you over and make you pay for them, read carefully. Waterpump wouldnt be a bad idea at 144k miles, timing chain could be done while they reseal the timing cover if you choose to do so. This is usually the time to do the rack/lines, basically ANYTHING thats hidden and looks like a bitch to do.

THIS is exactly what I have been looking for thank you so much! This will help ensure that all the work is completed and they do not charge for included parts.
