Haha ballsy move, but it works. I have removed my RTT until I get a bed rack made to attach from my bed bolts. I tend to drive crazy on the trail and dont want the fear of cracks from a rack slowing me down.

Same here but I think it should be okay. I also have a cross brace in the middle to keep it shifting side to side. And bed bars to strengthen that way too. I couldn't do a floor mounted rack because I don't have any room. With the bed cage and spare tire I basically have room for two coolers and that's just about it.

Then whatever I can fit on the bed bar things.

I hear ya on that, I am getting my fabricator to make my bed rack attach to the top of my bed cage and the tops of my bed stiffeners so that way it is off the bed rails, but not jammed somewhere in the middle.

Okay @Coot83 you win. That idea didn't work either. All I get is cracking sounds. I'm going to add some vertical braces to the bedcage and remove the beside mounts in the front. That seems to be my only issue. I think it's just too tight right there and the mounting plate is digging into the bedside. Or I've already cracked it in half and that's the noise.:rofl:

Damn son ballsy AF! I don't think it will matter how you slice it man, glass is glass. I don't think driving around town will kill it but the random slams on the trail will likely slowly chip away at it. I have asked three glass companies of their honest recommendations. With a bed rail RTT set up, they said it could work for a time, but they couldn't really guarantee it would last forever. Now if you just had your soft topper or a cap you could likely get away with it as those applications are arnt as heavy on the bed rail cap area and the rail itself can likely distribute it enough.

So then in essence you are sort of doing what Im doing with mine and trying to transfer the main load of the RTT and rack from the bed cap to supports in the bed?

Yeah kind of. The rear I'm going to leave. My
Bed supports are too small to land anything on. And it would be a big angle with not much support. We'll see. I'm slowly losing interest in this truck anyway.

Some days I just wish it was back to the MT setup with 285's.

On a side note my tires don't rub anymore. Got it aligned with 5ish caster. And I ordered an add a leaf. Even without my tent the rear just about the same height as stock.

Yea I can see how stock height is a little annoying at this point. I think I'm def going dmz for my rear kit. I haven't cracked open my container completely, but I think the inside portion of where the taillights bolt into the bedside def got a crack or two. I know these will have to be reinforced but oh well. Excited to get the glass fitted this weekend.

Don't get me wrong though. I like the giant kit. He's been really helpful too. There were just a few things missing. He even ordered to swap me out springs but I didn't want to deal with shipping that stuff. So deaver said the extra leaf will work fine.

They are on the truck now. But if you want them I can have them off within a couple days max. Except next week. My truck will be gone getting gears installed from mon-thurs.

    Cute grocery basket. @KB Voodoo

There's even enough room to fit my gear boxes on either side. Back to full carrying capacity.

Just need to modify the bed rack and that part will be done too.

Well it was due to it being on top of the cardboard set up and I think the stress of the clear wrap on top caused some stress cracks there. Eh goes with glass from my experience.
