    Dude
    Nickles and dimes

That’s what it takes to build your dreams
    You have a gangster truck
Just keep chasing the goal as you can
Do what work yourself that you can
And plan plan plan plan plan when doing things that require down time or large purchases

You’ll have a dope end goal on top of the already dope truck you have currently

Man I wish I could meet up with you sometime and compare our rides...LT is the best thing my ride has ever had as a mod. Does it just feel really harsh? I have my suspension set for whoops at about 50 mph and so it likes a little speed (25+) on road to really start feeling good. At the same time, feeling the cracks isn't that serious either.

Yeah I’ve never liked the ride on mine. If you recall I pretty much got ran out of the LT thread because I was complaining about the crappy street ride.

I’m temped to at least pull off the front hydro bumps since they are in pretty much constant contact with the lower control arm. Then further pull off the front bypasses and weld back on some stock bump stocks. I don’t think I need front bypasses outside of them looking cool.

One thing I never did is have someone tune the shocks. I’ve spent a few hours messing with them but even with everything fully open it still rides rough.:notsure:

I also don’t like the dopey add fenders and besides but don’t feel like dropping another 2k to replace them with narrower ones.

Been following your build man, been an interesting one for sure. Actually got me into my AP bumper in the beginning right after you did yours

Your like me, never happy. My truck rides likes like hell, but I know I can spend so much more and maybe be happy one day, but why?

Shit I'm not even LT :anonymous:

I think my fenders were the first mod I got for mine which at the time were silly until it became what it is now, but I have noticed guys either love or hate the look normally. I think you swapped yours out when you went to 37s right, either way bummer man you are liking the look anymore. For me with 600# springs my front has been quite soft until I ended up getting bypasses which smoothed out my bottom out and bump zone but even then I have 1/4 to 1/3 of the compression on mine which I don't really notice much on the street cause it doesn't cycle enough on road to really feel that compression threshold.

Are you running pretty heavy springs as they might be the culprit of why yours ride quite rough out and about as my friend Ryan has high compression on his shocks due to the absence of bypasses so he has a rough ride as well. With your bypasses being open I would argue that you could maybe use some lighter springs or atleast have a shop drive it and get their initial impressions if they feel it seems harsh as well? How is your rear end doing? I have to admit for me, the DMZ kit def lives up to the hype with the on and off-road feel. I do remember the LT guys went crazy on ya for asking the questions about on road manners simply cause most probably feared you were some basic third gener guy which obviously is not the case although the LT section in general has always been fickle to a degree. I cant remember your front end, but I run TC and they explicitly state to use their spacers that come with the kit to slightly extend the stock bump. I know if mine was much longer it would be on the bumps the whole time which honestly I could see how that could lead to an annoying ride as well.

I think before jumping to conclusions to let a shop play around with your rig for a few mins and see what their impressions are. I know some say LT trucks will beat you up on-road but based off your description yours should be considerably cush for our type of suspension. Maybe I need to roll with you on some trails in cali regardless?

Why not remove the hydro bumps and just add a bump zone to the bypasses? I have heard that is possible but honestly don’t know shit about suspension.

    No drain holes >_>

Was told I could just put drain holes in them.

Then talked to a handful of way more experienced people who told me that’s not a great idea.

Oh yea that’s right you got dirt king...man that is so weird that they force you to cut off the stock bumps. I guess it do t hurt to sanitize everything from the rig and see what it takes for it to ride better. I assume you have talked with dirt king about your symptoms right?

Not that I backtracked, but man that does make sense as you don’t really ever pop up there. I feel that was also a time when so many guys were eager to prove their “knowledge” to others. I’m glad the constant “LT thread has gone to shit comments” have seemed to finally cease.

Man, I'm bummed to hear your issues.

I do think that getting the shocks tuned would potentially have some real benefit in terms of regular street riding, and I am curious about the bumpstops. That's very strange that the kit requires you to remove the stock ones though.

Yep! Everyone else said it was weird too. I don’t think other kits do that. But I hacked ‘em off anyway!

I didn’t want to disassemble everything to get the bumps off so I just let the air out of them which also compresses them. I’ll give it a shot tomorrow. Also threw my tent back on to give it a little more weigh back there. We’ll see how that goes tomorrow.

I also swapped out my ripped (thanks elephant hill) gray tent cover for a nice black one. Looks way better. Moved the ditch lights too. I never really liked them up there and couldn’t actually use them correctly because angled out would bother me. So I moved them to the bumper. I still need to modify the cover plates and hook up the lights, but that’s enough for for today.

Anyone that follows my thread and wants to pay just shipping on some rango ditch light brackets I’ll send them to you. Otherwise I’ll sell them.

Oh nothing bad. Just walked up the wall a bit and scraped the tent which ripped the cover.
