    1999 Tacoma V6...is it possible to adjust idle up a few clicks?

    I should have researched a little further before posting...all roads lead to no can do.
    Ok, another question...do I have to dig into the throttle body to replace IAC?

    Out of curiosity, why are you trying to idle up? If you have a low idle- it's a sign that some other system is outta wack. IAC would be a good start, but I'd also consider MAF (clean it using only MAF safe cleaner), TPS, and O2 sensors. The manufacturer of those sensors is crucial if you go to replace them. OEM or Denso are safe. Random parts store brands cause more issues than they fix.

    As a hack though- you can artificially increase the idle by over-tightening the throttle cable- essentially the same as always pressing the gas pedal just a little. It's not advisable, but possible.
