I came close to pulling the trigger on my lift around Christmas time, but I've continued to read and learn more about my options. It seems I've spent many nights going in circles about what my best option is, but I keep coming back to these two choices.

Both of these lifts include the Bilstein 5100's. Perhaps someone here can push the decision for me, especially since my tax refund will be here very soon :D

The first kit I'm looking at is from Toytec.

    Toytec Lift
    http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com/Bilstein-Adjustable-lift-kit-with-5100-shocks_p_132.html

    Includes:
    • C477 Height adjustable Bilstein front 5100 series shocks
    • TP14 spacer for correction of drivers side lean
    • 112-620 Eibach/Toytec front coil springs 620lb spring rate
    • TAC-DR-05 Front diff drop kit (choose from options)
    • C476 - Bilstein 5100 series rear shocks
    Rear Options:
    • Choose below:
      • TAC-AL Toytec standard 2" lift add-a-leafs with anti friction pads. This long style AAL offers a great ride and has anti-friction pads already installed. Fits standard 3 leaf springs and 4 leaf or TSB springs.
      • 1 1/2" blocks with U-bolts
      • 1" blocks with U-bolts
    Headstrong Offroad Lift
    http://www.headstrongoffroad.com/store/p227/Coil/Blistein_5100_Kit_(HS05BK-1).html

    Includes:
    • Bilstein front 5100 series shocks
    • 1/4" spacer correction of drivers side lean
    • Bilstein 5100 series rear shocks
    Options:
    • Choose below:
      • OME 884, 885, or 887 coils
      • Deaver single leaf or HS 3 leaf AAL
      • LR UCA's

I will most likely have a shop do the install as I live in the city and don't have all of the tool I'd need.

If you guys could weigh in on which lift you think would be best suited for me, that would be awesome.

I have a 2014 Double Cab Super White TRD Sport Tacoma. Although I would love to do some off-roading, I've never taken a vehicle any further than the neighbor's yard or camping. 95% of my driving will be on the street. I've already ruled out the Pro Comp and Rough Country lifts. I'd like to achieve between 2 and 3 inches of lift.

    Other questions:

    1. If I go the Toytec route, would I best with a block kit or AAL?
    2. What does the differential drop do and why does the Headstrong option not have it? Do I need it?
    3. If I go the Headstrong route, which coil is best suited for me? Based on my research I've been leaning the 887 direction, purely for height.
    4. Support/warranty/issue wise, is one of these a better option?
    5. Are the LR UCA's worth the investment at this point? Should I hold off or buy something better?

Thanks guys. Really interested to hear your thoughts. My research on this stuff has been consuming my life and I'm only a week or two away from pulling the trigger.

Like you, I've been eyeing these packages as well. I did read that not using Eibach coils will void the Bilstein warranty, so that has swayed me to save and invest in a full OME kit.

With this, I would elect to go with 884's and Dakar's. Additionally, because I would be at the 3" mark, it would be good to add on the LR UCA's. I'm not sure if this is overkill, since like yourself, I would be mainly on surface streets, and a few times during the month venturing away from the city for camping and such.

Doesn't really answer your question, I'm sorry, but wanted to let you know of this option as well since I feel we're in the same boat(or truck heh).

I'm sure a lot of people are in our boat. It's nice to know there are others asking the same question. It has probably been answered too, but the more I research the more I question everything.

I went with @HeadStrong Off-Road and bought 887's with 5100's up front for 3 inches. And rear ICON 2.0 shocks with the ICON 1.5 inch Progressive AAL and Camburg Ball Joint UCA's. Diff drops are not needed on our 2nd Gen Tacoma's. And I am a complete Mall Krawling Princess.

Thanks for the feedback. I got some great info from Headstrong, and I should have used their package since it included the UCA's(Thanks Marie).

They're also from my neck of the woods. I grew up in Murrieta.

Thanks guys, I'm getting some valuable information to help me choose @ToyTec Lifts or @HeadStrong Off-Road.

The warranty information was very important to me as well.
