I currently have Bilstein 5100s (set at 1.75") with stock coils up front and stock setup in the rear (with Firestone ride rite airbags and TSB 4-leaf springs) on 265/70/17 BFG KM2s.

I've been thinking about setting the Bilsteins to 2.5" to gain a little more lift in the front and then adjusting the rear airbags accordingly to level out the truck.

Currently, I run about 20-25psi in the bags and it seems to do the trick as far as leveling out the truck.

    1. What parts do I need to get (eg, UCAs, etc.)?
    2. Other than a front-end alignment, what else do I need to have done after?
    3. Has anyone done this, and what are your thoughts/feedback?
    Thanks in advance!

The 2.5 setting with stock coils is gonna be a lil stiff.

You should get some uca's as more than likely they won't be able to get enough caster

So, would you recommend getting aftermarket coils? And what brand UCAs would you recommend?

Essentially, I'm just looking for a clean looking mild-to-moderate lift. I rarely, if ever, off-road my Taco.

Keep your billies, set them at zero with OME 885's. $170 and you're done. Ride will be better than what you have now and you'll be at 2.5". Shouldn't need UCA's but wouldn't hurt if you've got the funds.
Not sure about the airbags being used for lift though :notsure:

    Truck looks sick man!

So, OME 885 springs with the Bilsteins set at zero will give me the 2.5" lift I'm looking for?

I'm not sure about the airbags being used for a lift also, but I've been running them at 20-25psi since I installed them, and they gave me about an extra inch lift in the rear. Also, I already have the TSB rear leaf pack.

Yes you'll be at 2.5" with just the coils and 5100's at 0.

Id research the airbag. I don't know enough about it.
maybe get an AAL or some wheelers progressive pack.

For the front, should I go with the 885s or 886s?

For the rear, would an AAL alone do the trick? Or, do I need shocks too? And what brand AAL are most people running?

    Thanks! :)

Go with the 885's. For AAL try wheelers offroad. You will need new shocks but you could run the stock shocks with a "shock extender". That's what I'm doing because my rear shocks got f'd because I was too high when I first lifted the truck

I run 5100s front and rear. Front left set at 4th slot and right at 3rd slot to compensate for taco lean. This makes ground to fender level left and right at 38" on my truck. On rear I have 1.5" progressive AAL with ride-rite air bags at 10lbs of pressure to get 39" at the rear. I'm on 255/75r17 tires. Ride is smooth. Chalk tires to get to optimum inflation pressure.
I have LR UCAs set at center adding 2.0 of caster. My caster after alignment is 3.2 left and 3.3 right.

I've pretty much decided on the front.

Going with the OME 885s and setting the 5100s to "0".

Still uncertain about the rear. I'm thinking 5100s and an AAL :confused::confused:

Yeah man That would be good.
I'm running close to the same setup. Rides way better than stock.

    5100s aren't optimal for 885.

The simple answer to your questions:
    1. you do not need any other parts
    2. you only need an alignment
    3. this is done all the time and is a common component of leveling.

I suggest you do this first and see how it rides. If you are happy then you've saved yourself 170 dollars for new coils..

I'm just messing :), but honestly 100's of guys run 5100's with 885's and they are great. For the price you can't beat them. Are they the best certainly not but they ARE better than stock and will get you the lift you want for a great price. OP said very minimal offroading as well.
I'm upgrading to some icons when I have the funds but this 885/5100 combo has served me well. Almost 30k and no problems!

eibach coils with 5100s set at 0.85. Eibachs are designed to work with bilsteins. OME coils are not.
