Seems like most people on here are running the 5100s with 885s in the front.

Is there really that much of a difference between Eibachs and 885s?

Since I already have the TSB (4-leafs in the rear), is this all I would need (in addition to 5100s) for the rear:

Toytec AAL are like $84 and are quite popular among this community. They also work with the TSB or factory AAL but you may need to relocate a brake line so look into options for that.

Based on all the helpful advice, here's my potential list:

I'm looking to get a 2.5" lift in the front and about a 1.5" lift in the rear.

I'll most likely set the front 5100s to .85" which should theoretically net me a ~2.6" lift in the front.

Hopefully, I won't have to get new UCAs!

What do you all think? Am I missing anything?

You WILL get 2.5" from the 885's alone. If you set the 5100's at .85 you'll be just over 3"

^^ if you got eibachs then you would get around 2.6 with them set at 0.85. The 885s will give you that with the 5100s set at 0

Rear spring TSB, tailgate lock, 5100s at 1.75
    DocsTacoma:

How does the 885 coils ride feel compared to your previous setup with the Billies at 1.75?

I'm looking at doing the same type switch but don't want the OME 885 to be too mushy but I'm concerned the Eibachs could be too stiff. I also have a DCSB 4x4 sport set at 1.75 as you had, except it's a 2010 model. I don't have any add-ons to the front (winch, etc.) that would create extra weight.

Appreciate any input you have as to ride comparison between the two set-ups.

Why would you need to relocate a brake line(s) with the AAL?

Because where the line mount is doesn't work if you start moving things further apart, which is what an AAL does.

Are you saying you need longer lines, or that you need a new bracket where the line mounts?

I haven't researched it tons but it sounds like you can move a bracket. You can do some searching on it if you want more info as I'm not a good source since I'm not in the market right now anyway.

I didn't have to relocate or extend mine and I got about 2" or a bit more. No issues at all.
