Adjusting Dirlogic Coilovers

    I'm in the middle of adjusting my coilovers right now, but think I'm doing something wrong.

    I followed directions according to Fabtechs website for adjusting them, but I didnt think it would be this hard to adjust.

    I've loosed the set screw, and cranked a couple times with the spanner wrench. I'm having to put nearly all my weight into it to turn it. Is this normal or is something not right? I was thinking it was supposed to be fairly easy.

    It is even relatively tough with a cheater bar. The threads I have already cranked passed appear to be fine, so I don't think that could be the issue

    I let them soak in wd40 for about 10 minutes

    Yeah. You may want to spray some lube on the coil seats.

    Thanks. I have to take one side entirely off because the shop pre adjusted them and the set screw is in the back. I might just go ahead and take the other side off to adjust it as well.

    Dirt Logic 2.5" Coilovers, Camburg UCA's, Icon 3 Leaf add-a-pack, billy 5100's in the rear, Custom front Plate bumper, XRC 8500 lb winch, lots of little mods
    Put some muscle into it! :D

    I adjust mine without it jacked up. I just turn the tire all the way to the left for the Left side ,and all the way to the right for the right side. No lube/grease required.
    I have it down to a system (because the camburg uca's get in the way a bit).

    Get a hole where you can use the spanner....then follow the pull #1, push #2 procedure I show below...the holes should always line up perfectly for the next push or pull.

    Ya mine were hard as hell to adjust too. It is the hardest coil i have ever had to adjust. I think it is just because the fabtech coils arent the best of quality.

    I guess ill use both spanner wrenches instead of one lol. I couldnt figure out why he gave me 2


    edit- nvm. Only one will fit on there at a time. I'm using a TEIN spanner. The way its designed only lets you use one at a time.

    i lowered it about 0.5 from what you see there.

    I orig had them set to like 2.75 - but it was providing me with like 4 inches of lift, so i freaked out and reduced it to only lift me ~ 2.75 to 3" overall. I think the coilovers are at around 2.25 now, if you measure thread. ride is great, my rear suspension sucks though.

    I had to jack mine up to get the UCA out of my way. Another tip: I put in the spanner wrench and then tapped the end with a hammer to get it moving, that helped a lot if it got gummed up or got stuck.

    Alright yall Im in the process of removing the passenger side shock right now. Truck in the air, lower control arms hanging freely, sway bar removed, castle nut removed that holds the ball joint to the spindle. But I can't get the two to seperate. Any suggestions?

    Hit the side of the spindle, or the UCA near the ball joint with a hammer.
