So I want to adjust my coilovers and raise them up a bit to compensate for some added weight up front. They were set/installed at the factory/shipping setting. I've loosened the small tightening screw (not sure of the actual name) with 3mm allen. Loosens just fine. I don't have the spanner wrench because I've read about some people breaking them and also being able to do it without. Sprayed a ton of PB blaster on it. Let it sit for 30mins to an hour. Jacked up the truck. Tried with a 8mm allen (9mm doesn't fit), but I can't get it to budge at all! The allen wrench starts to bend and started to leave a small indentation at the edge. What's the trick to getting these things loose? Like I said I want to raise it a bit to level/compensate the front and hopefully keep it from rubbing the back side of the fender. Thanks!

Some close ups of the coil overs. Installed in February. Live in the Washington DC area. They look pretty beat up to be me for being in the truck so short of time. e10ea6ca71c3383ac9c508de07133618_6a47863294ca1f24aa57d8492343013b015f4197.jpg

    You need a proper spanner.

More pb blaster, toothbrush the threads. It's still a bit difficult.
