Adjusting volume knob turns on apple music app - how to turn off?

2023 OR, same shit. How has this not been addressed after 6+ years?? Completely random whether it plays music or not on Android auto connect and whenever I adjust the volume. I thought it was spotify so out of frustration I deleted it. Stupid head unit just launches youtube music instead. Love the truck, but between the trash head unit and all the beeping for every f%#&ing thing, I've been tempted to set it on fire and roll it off a cliff on more than one occasion.

Update:
I changed back to Android. Things work much better!

Buuut recently I see that occasionally, the default 'reuters news' broadcast (is it from sirius XM?? - which I'm not subscribed to.) sometimes overrides
Android auto when adjusting the volume... (when pluged in for Android Auto)


However, I noticed that if I unplug the phone and plug it back in, the problem goes away...

A stupid solution for a stupid problem.
