    Hey All;

My GF and I have decided to adopt a family for XMAS this year instead of buying gifts for ourselves. The family we're helping this year is a single mom with three boys (10, 12,17), they just moved to AZ from OH due to family issues and moved into an apartment with next to nothing.

We're in the process of gathering stuff for her and her kids for XMAS. we discovered that she's is also in need of a few other things so I thought I'd see if anyone has any of these things taking up space.

    Gently used microwave
    Dining room table for 4
    Living Room furniture
Kitchen stuff (pots and pans, cups, etc)

Please let me know if you've got any of this stuff that you want to get rid of..

    Thanks in advance!

    George

Thanks all, we appreciate the kind words. I appreciate everyone taking the time to look at the post and checking to see if you can help!

Oh and if anyone has 12 YO or 17YO boys, I could use some ideas on what tweens and teens are into these days... Struggling on gift ideas for them.

It's easy to shop for teenage boys.

Get them a cheap laptop, 1 year subscription to brazzers, and a 1 gallon bottle of lotion.

    Happy Holidays boys!

I love this. I Hope you guys find these things for them. I wish I had some stuff that they need, but unfortunately we gave away our spare beds and things to a similar situation, so I do not. Best wishes to you and your GF, and that family. I wish the joy of SPREADING happiness rather than receiving took over the holidays.

Not sure if they are athletic boys but if they are bikes, football, basketball, skateboard possibly, baseball stuff. When I was that age I always was at the park playing some kind of sports. Also promotes keeping them active

Do you have a full list of things they need? Toys? TV? Radio? etc?

I'm told by the mother that they need the following things.

    Gently used microwave
    Dining room table for 4
    Living Room furniture
Kitchen stuff (pots and pans, cups, etc)
Toys for a 10 year old (Legos, etc)
    Christmas Decorations for the apt.
gifts for a 12 and 17 YO boy

I'm told that they basically have beds to sleep in, a small TV, and some clothes. They basically sold everything to make the move to AZ.

We've already gone out and bought the following:

    Xmas Tree
    Xmas Tree Decos
Gift card to Fry's Food so they can buy xmas dinner (and hopefully some other staples)

I'm thinking I may just go get a few more gift cards to target and walmart and other places so that the mother can get gifts for the 10YO and the 12 & 17YO boys can go get what they want.

We might have a few of these things in storage. I'm gonna get me wife to post up, and we should be able to help.

    Hey All!

I just wanted to let everyone know the family we adopted has just about everything they need now. We were able to track down the furniture, kitchen stuff, microwave, and some gift cards for gifts for the kids and xmas dinner. I want to personally thank everyone who took the time to look to see what they had and those who were willing to offer up their goods.

It was a very humbling experience and we're looking forward to doing it again next year.

    Thanks again for everyone's help!
