Well I noticed my truck sat a little lower in the back. I checked the air pressure in the air bags and it was zero. Added air this morning and I could hear the air hissing out. I wonder what happened. Gonna check when I have time.

 

The leak was from the air line rubbing on the muffler; melted a hole. I bought a new air line for $7 from SD Truck Springs. Took about 30 secs to replace.

I also want to get the daystar cradles. You can offroad with them and still use the air bags. They're just mounts that go under the bag and the air bags are free from the previous mount they were on and pretty much float on the daystar cradles. So you still have all your off road ability.

Might be a better alternative than 800 dollar springs.

 

correct. ill probably get the allpro standard leafs one day, but for under $200 this will be fine.

 

how wonder how they do when you articulate alot in the rear.

 

doesnt matter because the air bags are now free floating. no longer attached to the bottom. So air down before a trail and bam good to go.

Not bad might have to looking into this since my ass sags so bad when towing.

 

Mine is starting to sag period and didn't want to spend $450+ on new leaf springs.

 

just installed the daystar airbags. Took about 30 mins.

Daystar Cradle installed and now the air bags are free from their bottom mount. Now I feel safe going over bumps. Always felt they might rip with full extension. (rear is jacked up)

Where'd you get your Daystar airbags and the cradle? install yourself? and what airs them up ?

 

Firestone airbags. Yes installed myself. Daystar cradles from Amazon or you can go to their website. I use my portable compressor to air them up.

 

Ohhh, alright, which model is it? the ones I've seen are like $200!

Is the compressor just like one of those small ones you plug into the cigarette plug or do you have the bed outlet?

My viair compressor ($60) hooks up to the main battery. I also, have their extension hose so it reaches the rear of the truck easily.

 

The airbags, I thought you had said like $150, but $300 sounds right. Ugh too many wanted mods
