Yeah I’d imagine they would I just didn’t wanna run them. But yeah that would have probably helped.

 

Do you happen to know the collapsed length? You're the only person I've seen running ADS in the stock location back there.

I can estimate the collapsed length. I measured 5.375 inches of the shaft exposed on the passenger side. With 24.25 inches measured on the passenger side from upper bolt center to lower bolt center on that previous post, the collapsed length must be 18.875.
Sans bumpstops because I did not know about them at new suspension install time. Now I don't know if I need them because I never hear the shocks bottom or top out. Maybe because my truck weight on the trail is typically less than 4600 pounds when I'm wheelin'.

Edit: I forgot in the previous post 24.25 is the extended length with the truck jacked up. I measured 20.0 inches with the truck just parked in the garage from upper to lower bolt centers. So the collapsed length is actually 20.0 - 5.375 = 14.625 inches, not 18.875. This makes more sense because the shocks are supposed to have around 10 inches of travel. These measurements show 24.25 (extended) - 14.625 (unextended) = 9.625 inches of travel.

Kind of an old thread but...
Has anyone mounted there resivor with a strut tower brace?
I think I may need to cut part of my brace or get a longer line installed. Has anyone delt with this issue?

 

I am running the TC tower brace kit with my ADS resi mounted there with that MCM bracket.

It's been a while but IIRC, I just used a flap disc to take off the extra material on that part of the brace that was interfering. Made it so the resi mounting bracket sits flush with the frame. I also used nut-serts to mount the bracket to the frame.

 

Couldn't you just weld a couple of these to the gusset?

I'm running into a issue with the bend in the fitting.

 

I was contemplating chopping up the bracket and shaping the brace..
Do you happen to have a pic of yours. I think the solo brace must stick out more.
