    Question,

For pot holes and gravel roads is it better to have a former or softer shock setting in the front. ...Lots of potholes

Isnt that more of a personal preference? If you like bouncing around, soft. If you dont, firm.

What about less jarring? If there is such a thing. I like 4-5 clicks for highway driving and 10-15 clicks for trail with pebbles and rocks.

Should firm still seem logical for potholes? May depend on speed is suppose..

Aw man still? Something must be up with that. Who'd you order from? I ordered through Headstrong and they kept me well informed on when shipping was whenever I asked and my order was custom.

Hmm, I have welded lower rod ends and no spring perch so that wouldn't have been an issue for me. They probably get their rod ends on coilovers machined in bulk, I wonder if others are waiting too.

I would call ADS and ask them what's up and if possible switch your order to them. They should be able to give you 10% off like they did me.

ADS will tell him the same thing, they have been out of the rod ends for about 2 months now, they are machined and at Anodizing, so as soon as they come in, his and everyone else who is currently waiting on 4 runner shocks will get built and shipped. The reason why some of the people have had good luck getting the Tacoma stuff so quick is because ADS put a bunch in stock and I believe headstrong ordered a large stocking order. That wiped out all the rod ends they had. And like I said previously, alot of the 4 runner stuff was extremely disorganized, they are similar to Tacoma but not the same complete assembly. Its unfortunate that he got caught up in the wait, but it was a necessary evil to get the information together and part numbers made, and assemblies laid out.

Ive been waiting on the parts for nearly as long as he has, ADS was able to scrounge up 1 used rod end to send me for mock ups to test fit some stuff and the new 3.0 coilover I am working on for the Tacomas/4 Runners.

does anyone have feedback on how their extended travel 00# clicker rests feel? Im wondering how mine compares. Potholes and road cracks still seem...kinda...jarring. Almost stiff like. I only have 1" of preload. Am I not running enough weight? At high speed (>40mph) they feel awesome.

Like I mentioned earlier...this is similar to what I experienced. Forgot all about the frustration when they came in and I got them on the truck. Love mine

    Wait..what?! 3.0 version?

I think what you are experiencing might be normal to an extent since these performance shocks need to prevent bottoming excessively at high speeds. From my conversation with Marie at Headstrong, most people upgrading to high end shocks experience a stiffer ride. It doesnt matter what brand. For the paved stuff, I am one of those people that enjoys the boat-like feel of the stock suspension but as you probably already know, it bottoms out like crazy when you try to go fast off road. Maybe start with 0 clicks and see if it improves. Also, I would give ADS a ring and see if they have any tips. Let us know what they say. Good luck.

If thats normal, I am good with it, just wanted to make sure it was normal. 4 clicks seems to be the sweet spot for my rig and then 10-15 clicks on the trail

I have all four of mine set to 0 and and high speed on bumps or pot holes are still a little jarring and I have e load coopers so it is kind of expected but when I go over speed bumps and stuff similar to that it's a completely different story and the only thing that is jarring at the is my rear but I don't have any weight. I was also thinking about going to a Deaver pack over the HD Dakars because of how squeaky they are, so if anyone on this forum has any experience with deavers I would love the input.

Sounds like our situation is identical, but I am still running my OME rears. Yah back is stiff a little, it's a truck. Try SuperLube teflon spray in all the shackles and bushing on the leafs, this helped the squeak for me. Comes back after a rainy day, but I just re-spray.

Once it gets any moisture in the air hear in Colorado it squeaks like a mofo haha I have heard that deavers are a little more flexy than the dakars but I am also curious how it will ride after i get a high clearance rear bumper.
