How is the ride for you without it? Even with the 700# coils, when I took mine off I didn’t trust the cornering. Seemed the trail riding could get squirrely without it. Thoughts?

I didn’t leave it on long. Took it off after 500 miles. Wouldn’t put it back on. After about 15 minutes of driving you’ll wonder why they come with them.

I drove down the highway and on the bumpy ass road to my place. I was concerned above 45mph. Is it normal to feel like the front is way more loose...turns feel like I’m going to body roll abnormally...also, I have a 2-yr old

At first it was noticeable, but now I don’t even think about it. I don’t miss it. It’s like it was never there. I’ve never felt like it was unsafe.

My truck is modified for off-road use and not for street. I don’t drive it like it’s a street machine. Can you take it through corners at high speed? No. Does it wheel? Yes. I didn’t purchase it for street driving. If it was bone stock, then I would leave it on.

I just don’t get why a person would do all the mods to their truck (suspension) and leave the sway bar on.

I suppose it all depends on what your intentions are with the truck.

I’m in this camp. Sway came off when I installed the suspension and I wouldn’t ever put it back on. I’m on 650# springs and it’s noticable when turning but not that bad. Just a little more sway. I never noticed it at highway speeds or anything. If that’s an issues I might suggest checking the alignment.

I get leaving it in if you have a kid and are concerned about emergency maneuvers.

Running 700lb springs I feel the sway in the taco without a sway bar is the same as the T4R on stock suspension that I test drove.....little more body roll but not bad.

Nice to know. Mine will probably come off but i left it on so i can Have a comparison of the previous setup to this for a while.

How much more articulation are you getting without it?

Not sure I can put a number on it but I’ve got about a quarter mile of washboard rutted gravel road to get to my house. This road gives me a little feedback every time I’ve made a change on the truck whether changing shocks, leaf packs or clicker settings or sway bar delete and with the sway delete, going through the ruts with only one tire feels definitely smoother than with the sway in place. So for sure more articulation but I can’t put a number on it.

Not always slow. It handles dreamy at higher speeds while off-road.

Alright cranked them up another 1/2 inch each side so sitting 22.5 hub to fender and 25.5 full droop so 3 inches down travel. Rides nice.

That’s about where I landed as well.

I have a decent amount of weight so I was prob running some more preload than you

Sometimes, when you drive between 47-56 MPH for 1.4 miles on rough terrain, you have to let the oil settle in the reservoir before continuing on. I think of it as a “pit stop” every mile and a half because I’m a rebel and like to push the .1 of a mile.

This is only with ADS shocks though. Kings are horrible at only .7 miles before you experience the “loose” feeling.

I was asking a serious question about the sway bar though. Turns at higher speed feel sketchy without the sway bar. I was asking For his advice. As far as the fluid in the reservoirs, I seriously thought that was how the truck would settle in the front after the shocks had equalized with fluid. Still learning about all this stuff...

OK, to put the sway bar debate to bed. Yes, you are going to experience more roll in turns without it. That’s why it’s there. My point was, that after I removed it and drove it, I didn’t notice that much difference.

Without it, you get more travel. Exactly how much I’m not sure. I’ve driven it fast through a river bottom without issue. What’s fast? Got up to around 40. Never thought about the sway bar. I simply prefer it without it attached. I don’t know how else to explain it.

I’ve done a fair amount of crawling around and the truck handles fantastic. I do have 700# springs for what it’s worth.

If your happy with it on, then no reason to take it off.

    It’s all good.

Thank you. I appreciate it. I’m not necessarily happy with it because I do feel like it limits the full potential of the suspension.

(Not directed at you) Not sure why I got so much flak for asking...thought this was a forum

I set Mine up 1-1/2” preload or 9 threads driver and 1” or 6 threads passenger. That puts me at 22.5 hub to fender and rides nice with still giving me 3” downtravel. 700lb springs as well.
