I forgot to ask, where did you buy your suspension from? I cant find anyone who carries the rear bolt on shocks.

The rear shocks for our trucks are semi-custom now. (A year ago when I installed them, they were custom custom, and I had to work with ADS on the first set.)

Note - even now, they REQUIRE a relocate along the lines of these three posts. Definitely read through these if you are considering this route.
    https://adventuretaco.com/tag/rear-shock-mount-relocation/?order=asc

You can order them from ADS here - they are the two rear shock options in the drop down. You can also generally get them from any ADS vendors if you call them and ask specifically for these shocks.

A local to me shop named Slee Offroad in Golden, Colorado ordered and installed the ADS shocks in October 2017. Slee installed the rear shocks in the stock location. I have not noticed any topping out "thunk" noise as discussed on page 200 of this thread when I have extended the shocks to their limits, for example on Poison Spyder Mesa in Moab last April:

    DSC_0483.jpg

I have only a Slee shock part number, not ADS part number, on my invoice. I think @turbodb's information is more recent than mine.
Also, there is ADS contact information on the first post in this thread.

About to pull the trigger on the ads level one kit from @headstrongoffroad
    Just want some advice.

Going with the non resi coilovers with 650 lb spring because I have a 130lb bumper going on the front. Also getting spc ucas.

In the rear I’ll be getting the rear piggyback reservoir paired with some rxt leaf springs set to most likely option three because i have a go fast camper and it’s mainly just my camping rig. Thinking about getting the archive ubolt flip kit with super bumps
    And extended brake lines.
What else do I need ? I want to just get it right the first time.
    Thanks fellas

That's got you pretty well rounded out. You might consider adding some super bumps up front too, and go ahead and replace your front brake lines with stainless ones. You already have to bleed the system anyway for the rears so you might as well go ahead and upgrade the front while you're at it. And depending on if/how much you are lifting, you might want to replace the driver side needle bearing with the ECGS bushing while you have everything apart.

hey guys, quick question anyone running a Dakar leaf pack with stock length rear piggy backs on a 2nd gen?

been going back and forth trying to buy the right length for the rears, I understand ADS offers a stock and extended travel, I would like to add some Dakar leaf packs in the future but will currently be running an AAL. Thanks

I was but switched to Icon RXTs. You should be fine with either just have bumstops tall enough to hit 3/4-1” before the shock full compresses

@SpeySquatch thanks, with the stock ads rears did it level your truck or did it add some more lift?

    Shocks don't add lift.

I have piggybacks. I think they are the same length but the “stock” has a spacer in it limit droop.

I have extended travel but the difference is only like 1/2” or so. You should sit level. The leaf pack is what makes the lift

Im getting parts and tools together to rebuild my rear bypasses. Just waiting for the nitrogen regulator to get here and I will be ready to go. Tyler at ADS was awesome and got me setup with everything I needed.

Quote, some day when my shocks need to be rebuilt... I may need to come and find you.

FYI, I have spring compressors, if you're trying to rebuild the fronts.

Way more than I did my Dakars. Even with the airbags (with Daystar cups) I have now to tow my trailer it’s pretty damn smooth. I did new shackles with custom zercs and energy bushings too

Also have the RXTs paired with the ADS, love them. Ride really well on and off. Have mine set on the middle setting
