What do you first gen guys do about your remote resivors? I've rubbed on mine some at full lock since day one. I knew it was going to screw me and it did when I jumped a curb trying to turn out of a drive through line. It bent the bracket up pretty bad. Hopefully I didn't hurt the resivor at all. It's going to be a real problem when I get new tires because the tread will stick out a lot more.

Anyway I have mine mounted on the frame rail until it hits the front body mount. I can't seem to find any other way of mounting them that will work and won't bind the hose and without cutting a hole in my wheel well. Which is a poor design because then part of the resi will be in the engine compartment subject to unnecessary heat.

It just seems like the way it's supposed to mount is a poorly thought out. With the wheel so prone to hitting it. I have 285/75r16 BFG ATs with 4.5BS and 1.25" spacers and 3" of lift, 24" hub to fender.

Mine only rub slightly here with 295/75r16 and 4.0 backspacing. Not a lot of good mounting options really.

This is how they're set up now. Which jujding by the length of hose, type of fittings used, and brackets seems like how they were intended on being mounted.

I cant turn it up like squeaky penguin. It hits the top of the wheel well and sticks way to far out to mount a bracket to anything. The pictures in my last post is the best I could get them to a vertical mounting position without hacking up my wheel wells and welding custom brackets too much.

I would still have to cut them up a little to fit them

Looking at squeaky penguins resis it looks like mine are longer. They're ~7.5 inches in length. Maybe I got the wrong ones?

I should also mention that ADS has changed up designs s little over time. I have the "over shock body" top hat and have 4-5 threads showing on both sides. Which nets me 3" or 24" hub to fender. This is with the 550lb springs a well. The 650lb would not allow me to go below 3.5" of lift and ride pretty harsh with zero threads showing. Which is roughly 1" of preload on the 650lb springs.

FYI I'm lighter than most with a 2wd lighter front end.

Email me, I have some templates for a different mounting bracket, I will work with you to see what we can do for a solution.

Did you ever find out how to remove the lower perch?

Yes. Compress the spring and bring the lower spring perch up. Remove a c-clip from the lower rod end and the lower spring perch will slide off along with the spring.

They have bumpstop inventory. They don't have built shock inventory, just shock bodies and parts.
